Boxer, Allotey granted GHc100k bail
Ghanaian boxer Patrick Allotey has been granted a GH¢100,000 bail with three sureties after he was charged with assault at an Accra Circuit Court on Monday.
The bail requirement as ordered by the court indicated that two of the three sureties must be public servants who earn not less than GH¢1500 a month.
He has however pleaded not guilty to the charges of causing harm and assaulting.
The boxer, 29, who has been handed a ban of 6 months by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) allegedly assaulted Michael Siaw at the Accra Stadium on January 26, 2020.
The case was heard at the Accra Circuit Court 10 and presided over by Mrs Evelyn Asamoah.
The case was adjourned to February 25, 2020.
