Chief Executive Officer of Doormaster and Pobiman Paint Depot, Mr. Kwadwo Botchwey, has advised fathers to be mindful of the kind of messages their children feed on.
The business mogul bemoaned the rate at which children are being exposed to discussions surrounding the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+).
He said some elements in society are making it look normal to be LGBTQI+but these are some of the threats fathers must guard their children against.
He said there are several threats that children are exposed to and it.is the responsibility of fathers to protect their children against such threats.
He posited that fathers must imbibe in their children the values of hard work, punctuality, decency, integrity, and transparency.
He said we live in a society today where corruption thrives and people see nothing wrong with it.
“But fathers have a role in ensuring that their children value honesty, integrity, hard work, and respect. These are values we hold dear as a people and we cannot let these values die”
He said “we should know what our children are learning. We should be interested in what they are taught in school. Build a relationship with your children, and be interested in the activities they engage in. By doing that, you are protecting them from evil and unprincipled behaviours”.
He was speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm social father’s event ‘My Dad, My Hero’ organized by Accra City Hotel in collaboration with Rainbow Radio with host DJ Slash.
