BA/R: 46 Health workers test positive for COVID-19

Forty-six (46) health workers in the Brong Ahafo Region have tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the number forms part of the total number of 96 recorded cases in the region.

The Acting Bono Regional Director of the Service, Dr. Kofi Amo Kordieh disclosed this at a press conference over the weekend.

He said the affected health workers are currently receiving treatment, with several of them in self-isolation.

He explained that some of the health professionals who contracted the virus asymptomatic with four showing mild symptoms.

Per the details available, the Wenchi Municipality reportedly has the highest case count with 42 confirmed cases.
