Awutu Breku: Voter Registration exercise suspended at Iron City Centre

Registration exercise at Iron City in the Awutui Breku of the Central Region has been suspended following an uproar.

Rainbow Radio’s Nana Yaw Asare reporting on Frontline disclosed there is a heavy police presence at the registration centre to maintain law and order.

He said the uproar was started after some persons who had lined up to register since 1:00 am accused some other persons of jumping the line.

The reporter said the residents had also threatened to burn materials and kits being used by the Electoral Commission (EC).

He stated that the police is currently maintaining calm so the exercise will resume.
