Wisconsin International University College, Ghana’s Student Representative Council Campus App (WIUC SRC) has been adjudged best in Africa according to a 2019 research done by a United States based organization, AppGrooves that collects, reviews, and ranks the best apps on the market.
AppGrooves reviewed and ranked over 6,000,000 apps in 600 categories, placing the WIUC SRC App to be first in Africa and 53rd globally, in the category of Campus Portal.
AppGrooves is a consumer-facing app discovery media, as well as SearchMan, the leading App Analytics Data & Technology Company with over 100,000 companies actively using our solutions to help them succeed in the App economy.
Best Apps by campus portal category global ranking, saw GCUF Portal App (Sahiwal Campus) placing first position, High Tech Campus Portal second position and Bhavans IESK third position.
In an interview with the WIUC SRC App Editor-in-chief, Marshall Bobobee he was full of praise for the SRC President and his hardworking executives for the development of the App.
“I thank the SRC President for the vision to get an app such as this for easy dissemination of information in the university community. Also, thanks tour hardworking developer who through his tireless effort brought us this far”, he said
He continued saying, “we as managers of the App receive this good news as an achievement for the Administration and we will continue to work hard to put the students’ interest first in all that we do,” he added.
He therefore used the opportunity to encourage students who have not yet downloaded the WIUC SRC App to do so and constantly monitor it for news updates, adding that we are in a digital age and one of the fastest and easiest way to disseminate information to the university community is the App.
WIUC SRC app was developed by the Students’ Representative Council with the aim of giving the student populace a great campus experience, which great features such as; Pay Fees, Watch Live Events, Chat, Make Suggestions, Book a Wizzy Tutor and an OSIS Portal for checking results.
