Ghanaian female artiste, Ellen Ayensuaa Gyapong, popularly known as Efe Keyz has disclosed on Highlife Paradise with Fiifi Pratt on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm that she is no longer a signee of Zylofon Music.
She described 2019 as up and down for her career.
Touching on some of the successes in 2019, she mentioned her nomination in the unsung category of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, collaboration some top artiste.
She said the shutdown of Menzgold which affected Zylofon Music was a major blow for her as well as her manager Willie Roy.
She disclosed to the host she is currently on her own and without management.
According to her, her stay at Zylofon Music was more of grooming for some talented 20 musicians including herself.
She said there was nothing like the signing of a contract for them because it was more of a developmental project the label was embarking on.
Efe Keyz said the shutdown of Menzgold dealt a blow to the musicians under the label.
She, however, dispelled rumours of her saving at the defunct gold dealership company and when asked why she said: ”I invested my money into housing. I had an agreement with my mum, and so I invested into something we were building”.
