COVID-19: 490 new cases recorded, case count now 18,630

Ghana has recorded 490 new cases of the coronavirus, pushing our case count to 18,630, update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has disclosed.

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye on Thursday, July 2, 2020, disclosed this at a press conference organized by the Information Ministry.

According to him, persons who have clinically recovered from the novel disease have shot up to 14,046.

The death toll is still 117 whereas some 23 persons are severely ill.

Ghana currently has 4,467 active cases.

The Greater Accra Region is still leading with 10,296 cases.
