President of the Ga Adangbe Youth Association Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I, has called on indigenes of the Ga State to adhere strictly to the protocols put in place to contain the spread of the virus as they celebrate the Homowo festival.
He said Ghana is currently not in normal times hence the Homowo festival should be celebrated in homes and not as compared to what we have witnessed in the past.
The traditional ruler indicated all the sporting activities and public gatherings that characterize the festival should be shelved for the safety of all Ghanaians.
He admonished Ghanaians who are not Ga’s to respect the traditions of the land.
He further asked the media to also respect the Ga language and allow Ga’s to speak their language when they engage them in an interview.
Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I said Ga’s are hospitable and not divisive, as some perceive.
He wished Ga’s a peaceful celebration and prayed that the outbreak of the virus will depart from our presence so Ghanaians will go back to their normal lives.
