Akwanor Royal Family swears-in new head of Family

The Akwanor Royal Family of Ashalaja has sworn in Nii Armah Quansah as the new Head of Family.

He is taking over from one Solomon Mintah Ackaa who was removed from office for misconduct, incompetence, and disregard to the family.

The family said the removed family head who was expected to lead the family abandoned the family and even when invited to chair meetings, he refused and did not respect the family stool.

It was based on this that the family performed rites on Thursday, September 2, 2021, to remove him and install Nii Armah Quansah.

One of the elders of the family Mr. John Kwabena Addy told Rainbowradioonline.com that they had no option than to remove the former head because the family had issues to deal with and he was not prepared to support them.

At the short ceremony, the new family head promised to discharge his duties with respect, honour, and dedication.

He also promised to unite the family and ensure that its values, beliefs, and honour are preserved.

He asked the family to support him so he would be able to discharge his duties as expected.
