The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says it has been forced to shut down its two substations located at the La Primary and Accra Central Bulk Supply Point because they were flooded due to the downpour on Monday.

The power supplier says some areas such as Teshie Maami, La township, Trade Fair, parts of Burma Camp, Odornaa, and Adabraka township among others were affected.

It said power would be restored by the close of today, Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
