Ablekuma West: Free for all fight at polling station polls

It was free for all fight in the Ablekuma West New Patriotic Party’s polling station acclamation of polling station executives turned bloody.

Others also sustained minor injuries at Liberty Football Pitch at Dansoman in Accra during the Ablekuma West New Patriotic Party (NPP) acclamation of polling station executives.

This was as a result of brutalities on some party members during the acclamations on Sunday, March 13, 2022.

The incident happened around 3:15pm on Sunday, Rainbowradioonline.com has gathered.

One of the victims who sustained injuries, Daniel Amakye Kingsford, has been admitted into an undisclosed hospital after he sustained injuries.

Some party members have accused the Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the NPP, Daniel Odailai Parker and one Nyarko, who is the Personal Assistant to the Member of Parliament for the Constituency who is also the Communications Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful of persons behind the incident.

It is alleged that some party supporters arrived at the gate of the Liberty Football Pitch, following which Daniel Amakye Kingsford greeted and introduced himself to those manning the entrance that he was an aspiring First Vice Chairman when the time was due in the constituency.

He told them he had arrived at the location to observe the acclamation processes.

However, the Regional Secretary Daniel Odailai Parker allegedly told him [Daniel Amakye ] he would not allow him enter the venue because Daniel Amakye had threatened to kidnap him [Daniel Odailai Parker].

In the process, Daniel Odailai Parker reportedly pushed Amakye and then ordered some well-built men who were standing by to attack him.

The narration further indicated that Mr. Amakye was attacked until he fell unconscious.
