2024 general elections would be a do or die affair at the polling stations-Mahama
Former President John Dramani Mahama has indicated that the 2024 general elections would be a ”do or die” affair.
The defeated candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 polls said the party has learnt its lessons from the 2020 polls and would not repeat them again.
Speaking on Akina Radio as part of his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the Bono Region, he said: ”we all recognize that President Akufo-Addo is the rec recognised leader of Ghana. We have accepted the Supreme Court judgement.
But whatever that happens, you have to learn your lessons. We have learnt our lessons with elections 2020. The 2024 elections would be won or lost at the polling stations. It would be a do or die affair at the polli8ng stations,” he added.
He said his do or die affair comment is not the same as Nana Addo’s all ‘die be die’ mantra.
Mr. Mahama on Tuesday morning began the second phase of his nationwide tour to thank Ghanaians for their support and votes in the December 2020 elections.
This phase of the tour will take him to the Bono East, Bono, Ahafo, Western North and Ashanti Regions of the country.
Former President Mahama will meet with religious and traditional leaders, engage members, supporters and sympathizers of the NDC and also interact with the media.
Joining him on the tour are his Running Mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, former Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, National, Regional and Constituency Executives of the NDC, and some former appointees.
The first phase of the tour took him and his Running Mate to the five regions in the north of the country.
