Chief & his brother arrested for engaging in galamsey ‘in their bedroom’

The Chief of Elubo and his brother have been arrested by the Police for allegedly engaging in illegal mining.

The two suspects were arrested on September 16, 2022, a statement issued by the Police said.

The suspects, Nana Anini Baffour and his brother, Kwadwo Affi, were arrested following an investigation into a video circulating on social media over illegal mining activities in some compound houses in Elubo.

According to the Police, the investigation has discovered dug-out pits from the compound leading to the bedroom of the chief’s brother.

The Police added that they have also discovered four other dug-out pits in other houses in the same compound.

The statement also added that the chief and how brother and six other suspects who are on the run, are behind the illegal mining.
