President Akufo-Addo has asked constituents of the YAPEI KUSAWGU Constituency to change their voting pattern and consider voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024.
According to him, since 1992, the constituents have constantly voted for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) but have seen no development.
The President stated that the MP for the constituency, John Jinapor, has failed to bring about the necessary development in the area.
Speaking to residents after inspecting the Fulsulso-Bongia road as part of his tour of the region, President Akufo-Addo said John Jinapor has not done well for the region and should be kicked out.
He claimed that despite the MP’s appointment as Minister of Power under the previous NDC government, several communities were still not connected to the national grid.
He said, ”since 1992, ”I have known two people who have been Members of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu. The first one was my very good friend Amadu Seidu. When he left, John Jinapor then took over the MPship for Yapei-Kusawgu. The young man who for long was Minister for Power, 17 communities in his districts still have not been connected to the electricity grid. No senior technical high school in the whole of the Kusawgu area”.
Constituents, he believes, should vote him out in 2024 and consider the NPP.
