Progress in Assin North has stalled, we want our MP back- Constituents

Residents of Assin North in the Central Region have bemoaned the lack of developmental projects such as roads, schools, and water in the area.

The constituents are also lamenting the rate of unemployment in the constituency and have called for support.

Speaking at a press conference in Assin Breku, a youth group called Concerned Youth of Assin North blamed the phenomenon on the lack of representation in Parliament.

The group said all the projects initiated by the embattled MP James Gyakye Quayson, have been stalled after he was restricted from holding himself as a member of Parliament for Assin North Constituency despite taking part in the swearing-in exercise.

The spokesperson for the group, Ranklin Otoo, pleaded with the apex court of the land to as a matter of urgency, fast-track the case currently pending before them.

He also cited Jomoro, Techiman South, and Hohoe as an example questioning why the Members of Parliament are still at post whilst Mr. James Gyakye Quayson has been restricted.

According to him, the situation has rendered them sleepless nights, and therefore calling for an explanation.
