C/R: Man, 30, beaten to death after mob mistook him for a thief

A 30-year-old man, Festus Eduafo, has been allegedly beaten to death after his attackers mistook him for a thief.

The unfortunate incident occurred at Aboransa in the Komenda Edina-Eguafo Abbirem of the Central Region today.

The family of the deceased, are demanding justice for their son since he was not a thief as alleged by his attackers.

The Brother of the deceased, Ebenezer Monney, speaking about the incident, said his brother was not a thief but was mistakenly lynched by the mob over an alleged robbery in the area.

He described the incident as horrible and wanted why people would take the law into their own hands and assault alleged thieves.

He said the family is devastated by the incident and wants the Police to investigate the matter.
