Sonnie Badu’s denial of receiving $50k from the National Cathedral has exposed the lies, fraud, thievery & ungodly narrative-MP

The Member of Parliament for Builsa South has expressed shock at what he described as blatant lies and fraud on the part of the government for claiming that gospel musician Sonnie Badu was paid USD$50,000 for a performance in the United States.

The legislator posited that the claims of the government have been badly exposed by the musician and minister of the gospel through a statement he issued.

Sonnie Badu’s response came after a follower on social media had asked why he took an amount of USD$50,000 after he had performed at an event in the USA in the name of the National Cathedral.

Sonnie Badu in his response denied the claims adding he was not even treated with respect at the said event and was not even provided with any seat together with his team.

Reacting to the latest development, Dr. Apaak wondered why such a false claim would be made by the assigns of the National Cathedral.

He described the issue as thievery, illegal and unlawful.

“Cathedral people say they paid Sonnie USD50k for his actions during the launch in the USA when they didn’t. Add fraud, and thievery to illegal, unlawful, deception, and lies, on the list. Is there anything Godly in the narrative about this cathedral?”

He maintained that the men of God who have been appointed as trustees must dissociate themselves from the embarrassment and fraud being perpetrated in the name of the cathedral.

He indicated that there is thievery and robbery currently ongoing in the name of God and it was not the best for the country.

He added that the government claimed to have paid GHS30,000 to each of the gospel artistes who ministered at the launch here in Accra.

We want confirmation from these musicians. We can’t just allow such claims to be made without evidence. The statement by Sonnie Badu has exposed the lies and fraud and for that reason, all the other musicians said to have received the payment must speak up,” he added.

Meanwhile, he has revealed his intention to demand more answers on the matter.
