Don’t buy “Ladha Ya Kuku” Indomie instant noodles chicken flavour, it is unregistered- FDA

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has cautioned the public against the purchase of an unregistered batch of Indomie instant noodles labelled “Ladha Ya Kuku”.

The FDA in a statement stated that said its surveillance team is on the market to pick samples for testing.

The product was recalled in some countries including Egypt for containing high levels of aflatoxins and residues of pesticides.

Following the findings by the Food and Safety Authority (FSA) of Egypt, over 700,000 cartons of different Indomie flavours have so been withdrawn from the Egyptian market by the supplier.

The FDA in Ghana says it will not renege in its efforts to ensure public safety.

It added that the only approved or registered chicken Indomie flavour in Ghana is manufactured locally.
