Doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital who declared their intention to embark on a strike over the non-payment of car maintenance allowance and 13-month allowance have deferred their action.
This comes after an engagement with the management of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on Monday, January, 31, 2022.
The strike was to start today, Tuesday, February, 1, 2022.
But the doctors have deferred the action saying, “This decision was taken at our Emergency General Meeting held on 31st January 2022. The decision was taken after a show of some commitment by Hospital Management and the Ministry of Health to end the long-standing stalemate in the fulfilment of our SIGNED CONDITIONS OF SERVICE in 2019.
We hope, as agreed, earlier at the meeting of KADA executives with Hospital Management, that by the end of working hours on THURSDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 2021, there will be a clear concise payment schedule.
We want to assure all and sundry, especially our cherished members, that KADA remains resolute and committed to its mandated cause.”
