HRRG commiserates with Bogoso explosion victims, says it could have been prevented

The Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG) has extended their condolences to the bereaved families of the Bogoso explosion and well wishes to injured persons.

HRRG described the explosion as unfortunate but one that could have been prevented.

”Importantly, we appeal to the victims and families of this fatal accident to accept our condolence as we call on the appropriate institutions to send assistance to all who really need them.”

The statement said it was in support government’s commission of enquiry to launch a full-scale investigation into the matter.

”On the other hand, we support the government’s commission of enquiry to launch full-scale investigation into the true sequence of events due to the inconsistent reports.”
