I did not expect the massive support for my music-Black Sherif

Ghanaian new artiste Black Sherif has disclosed he least expected that his hit song ‘Money’ would become a household song.

Appearing on Rainbow Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the senior high school graduate who is preparing for tertiary education this year said his strategy was pushing the songs on various social media platforms.

According to him, he was pushing the songs through WhatsApp groups, Facebook, and others.

He told host DJ Slash that the massive love for his song is like magic and extended his appreciation to his fans.

The music he added is what will fetch him money so he would not relax in promoting his songs.

He disclosed he only started professional music in August 2019.

Black Sherif said he wanted a plan B because he did had no hope of passing his WASSCE but miraculously, he has passed his exams and preparing for school this year.

He also indicated he is a rapper but he finds it difficult when writing his rap so he diverted to singing.

‘Money’ he said is his third single as his first two singles were ‘Cry for Me’ and ‘Mariana’.

Black Sherif has for the past few weeks being trending on the top ten charts on Boomplay.

His ‘Destiny’ track has moved from the 4th position last week to the 2nd position this week.

He concluded saying when an artist releases a good song, the fans will appreciate and love the song.

Meanwhile, entertainment critic Chris Tsormanah says the strength of Black Sherif is through the digital space.

He has therefore asked his management to focus on improving that space and capitalize on that.

He also asked them to lean towards the media more.

On his part, Yaw Dan, who also works with Boomplay stated that the musician has strong strength in the digital space.

He said Boomplay upon research realized that music lovers were searching for him more and that was how they discovered him.

He also asked the media to support him because he is a great musician.
