General Secretary of the party Nana Yaa Jantuah who was the key speaker warned Ghanaians not waste their votes in retaining the NPP or voting for the return of the NDC.

These two political parties she noted have failed Ghanaians, are incompetent and lack vision, direction and the insight to manage Ghana.

Using the price of kenkey as an analogy, she described the increase in the price of kenkey and the reduction in size saying the NPP promised better leadership and transformation of the lives of citizens but Ghanaians are living in extreme hardship under the current administration.

She also encouraged voters to consider the future of their children and vote wisely since the 2020 polls will decide whether Ghana will move forward or backwards.

Nana Yaa Jantuah stressed the legacies of the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah are unbeaten and not even the NDC and NPP can compare their track records to that of the CPP.

Ghana she declared will see an improvement in the free education policy which was first introduced by the late Nkrumah.

On her part Hajia Aisha Sulley Futa (Obaatanpa), the National Women Organiser, who donated the office space for the party and mother of the parliamentary candidate said the party is now vibrant with selfless young persons who have dedicated their time, resources and skills to ensure that the party wins power.

According to her, the party has better policies for the women and youth hence Ghanaians should vote massively for the CPP.

The party she disclosed will roll out skills training programmes for women especially in her constituency so they will have a livelihood to depend on.

To start with, she has initiated a programme to train women in the constituency in pastry making.

Other initiatives she added will follow should the party wins power.

The parliamentary candidate AbdulHamidu Futa on his part took the NPP’s incumbent MP, Mr. Fuseini Issah to the cleaners describing him as a failure.

He said the MP has failed the people and should not be allowed to return to parliament.

Youth unemployment, poor road network and lack of skills training are some of the challenges confronting the constituency.

He was hopeful he will win because he represents the youth in the constituency.

He explained that there are several young people who were unable to continue their education at the secondary and tertiary levels due to financial difficulties, and yet, the MP has offered no help.

He promises to bridge that gap by providing an opportunity for those who want to learn a skill or vocation to get that opportunity should he be elected.

For women and traders, he is also promising to provide an avenue where they could have access to flexible loan facilities to expand their businesses.

He added: ”our constituency is poor in terms of infrastructure. Our roads are bad. It is appalling. The MP has done nothing over the past years he took over. The one who came after him also failed the constituency. We need someone who is competent, young and vibrant. We need to kick the NPP and NDC out because they have failed us.”
