Some final students from the Accra Technical University (ATC), [identities hidden] on Wednesday evening stormed the studios of Rainbow Radio to lament over the decision by the school to prevent them from writing their final exams.
The final year students who are due to complete their education in three weeks have been asked to defer due to their inability to meet the deadline for payment of fees.
Speaking to rainbowradioonline.com, the affected students decried that although they could not meet the deadline, there was an opportunity for them to pay a penalty of GHc50.
However, an attempt made to pay the penalty failed to yield positive results since authorities at the school indicated to the affected students that, the process had closed.
The students who are unwilling to defer have therefore appealed to the school to reconsider its decision for them to write their final exams.
When asked if they have communicated their concerns to the Students Representative Council (SRC), the affected students said, the SRC president has failed to address their concerns hence their decision to use the media to address their issue.
Attempts made to contact school authorities and the SRC to comment on the issue prove futile.
