Written by  Jan 03, 2018
The Asamankese Circuit court has sentenced Bright Antwi, to a fine of GHc1000 or in default, serve a six-month jail term in hard labour for chewing the mouth of an hairdresser.   The presiding judge, his Honour Ayitey Armah, found the accused guilty and described his action as unlawful. Narrating the incident to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, our correspondent, Prince Collins Bening said, on December 25, 2017, Bright who is a student at St. Thomas at Asamankese, incurred the wrath of an apprentice who  asked a customer to allow her make a call on her phone.   Bright is said to have ridiculed the lady for not having a phone and asking her customer to allow her make a call on her phone.   He also slammed the lady for not having a fiancée who could have bought her a phone.   The lady reportedly got angry and insulted Bright Antwi. The insults degenerated into a fight and in the process, Bright Antwi bit the victim’s mouth.       According to Prince Bening, Bright Antwi could not afford the fine hence was asked to serve his jail term.
