‘’Without gospel music, there is no music,’’ Ghanaian female gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has confidently stated.
The gospel diva who was speaking on her recent deal with entertainment outfit, Zylofon Media, said, her position cannot be challenged by anyone and to buttress her point, she said, Ghanaians cannot do without gospel songs at their weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies and other events.
According to her, before a secular song is played at any event, gospel songs are first played and that gives credence to her claim.
She described her deal with Zylofon Media as a great honour for the gospel fraternity because in the past, gospel musicians were not treated like the secular musicians but today, an entertainment outfit has signed me on.
She stressed, ‘’I am happy people have realized that without gospel music, there is no music. Without gospel music, there is no music.’’
The musician recently signed a four (4) year contract with entertainment outfit, Zylofon Media.
The signing of Joyce Blessing is a complete record deal and it includes distribution, promotion, production and marketing.
The company would require of the artiste to produce four albums within the four-year period, barring any problems.
Joyce Blessing said the entertainment outfit did not sign her for signing sake but her deal was premised on hard work.
