A Starbow flight S9110, on Tuesday morning crashed into the barricade of the runway, the flight was en route from Accra to Tamale but had to be disembarked hurriedly to safety following the crash.
In an official statement released by Starbow’s Chief Executive Officer, Eric James Antwi who confirmed the ‘’minor accident’’ on Tuesday morning, indicated that the company is currently gathering more information into the accident.
"Flight S9110 which was en route from Accra to Tamale has been involved in a minor incident … and as a result Starbow’s BAe aircraft with registration number 9GSBB went through the barricade at the end of Tamale runway and stopped."
“The statement further said “Our sincere concern goes out to all the passengers, friends and families involved. We are still gathering the facts concerning the incident. Starbow is cooperating fully with the authorities in charge. For any enquiry we have our toll free number 0245-000000”.
No casualties were recorded according to the statement from the company.
"It is noteworthy that both the crew and the passengers were disembarked safely via the stairs.
"We’ll inform the media of any significant additional information as soon as it is immediately available," CEO of Starbow James Eric Antwi said.
